The last notch in the wrung of my countdown for the Top 40 horror short stories from 1800-1849 is finally here. To little surprise, Edgar Allan Poe, who has appeared numerous times on this countdown, weighs in at the number one spot. Tomorrow I will reveal his classic horror tale that got him there.
